Lord of The Rings- Formal Blog Numero Uno

I fell in love with parodies at a young age, probably just old enough to spell the word. I think parodies are as funny as comedy gets. I am fascinated with them because it is one of the most creative forms of comedy. It is much more difficult than just creating a joke, it takes much more time and thought. After watching the final Lord of The Rings in class, i spent a lot of time looking for a good parody based on the movie. While looking for a parody i stumbled upon a video called "How Lord of The Rings Should Have Ended". In my opinion it is a parody. The idea behind the video is that the movie was unnecessarily drawn out. If you take the time to watch the video you'll realize that there was no need for the extremely long adventure to destroy the ring. At the end of the movie Gandolf flies into the scene with three gryphons, to save both Sam and Frodo. Truthfully it would have been just as easy, and much shorter to distract the eye of Sauron and fly in on a gryphon to drop the ring into the mountain. The video reminded me of several times when i wrongly spent much more time than i needed to because i wasn't paying attention, or fully aware of the effect my actions were causing. The time i failed MAT 140 is a perfect example. If i had listened to my parents and my friends and studied like i was told, i wouldn't of had to repeat the course. It would've been much easier if i had just studied and kept up with the assignments.
